Η Αννίτα Βαρέλλα απέκτησε το 2020 το πτυχίο της από το Τμήμα Ψυχολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου του Greenwich στο Λονδίνο. Πραγματοποίησε την πρακτική της άσκηση, στο πλαισίου του ερευνητικού έργου DS LEISURE (http://www.dsleisure.eu), αξιοποιώντας το LLM Care σε άτομα με νοητικές αναπηρίες στο Μικτό Κέντρο Διημέρευσης – Ημερήσιας Φροντίδας Απασχόλησης & Κατάρτισης ΑμεΑ «Τα Παιδιά της Άνοιξης». Πλέον εργάζεται ως Επιστημονική Συνεργάτιδα στο Εργαστήριο Ιατρικής Φυσικής της Σχολής Επιστημών Υγείας του Α.Π.Θ., όπου συμμετέχει ενεργά σε διάφορα ερευνητικά έργα, όπως το LLM Care (www.llmcare.gr), DS-AGEING (www.dsageing.eu) και SHAPES H2020 (www.shapes2020.eu). Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα περιλαμβάνουν την αξιοποίηση των υποστηρικτικών τεχνολογιών στη φροντίδα υγείας των ηλικιωμένων, τη βελτίωση ποιότητας της ζωής τους καθώς και τη σωματική και νοητική ενδυνάμωση των ατόμων με νοητικές αναπηρίες.
Annita Varella received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2020 from the University of Greenwich in London. She has received training, in the context of the research project DS LEISURE (http://www.dsleisure.eu), where she implemented the LLM Care service in people with intellectual disabilities in the Mixed Living Center – Daily Care Occupation & Training for Disabled People “The Spring Children’’. She is now a Research Assistant in the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (medphys.med.auth.gr) and she participates in various research projects, and, in particular, LLM Care (www.llmcare.gr), DS-AGEING (www.dsageing.eu) and SHAPES H2020 (www.shapes2020.eu). Her research interests include the exploitation and deployment of assistive technologies on the healthcare and improvement of older adults’ quality of life and the physical and cognitive enhancement of people with intellectual disabilities.
SHAPES is a European funded project (Horizon 2020), involving 35 partners from 10 European countries. The program is launched in 2019 and is expected to be completed in 2023.
SHAPES aims to create the first European open Ecosystem enabling the large-scale deployment of a broad range of digital solutions for supporting and extending healthy and independent living for older individuals who are facing permanently or temporarily reduced functionality and capabilities. SHAPES builds an interoperable Platform integrating smart digital solutions to collect and analyse older individuals’ health, environmental and lifestyle information, identify their needs and provide personalised solutions that uphold the individuals’ data protection and trust.
Το SHAPES αποτελεί ένα ευρωπαϊκά χρηματοδοτούμενο πρόγραμμα [Horizon 2020], στο οποίο συμμετέχουν 35 εταίροι από 10 ευρωπαϊκές χώρες.
Το πρόγραμμα ξεκίνησε το 2019 και αναμένεται να ολοκληρωθεί το 2023. Σκοπός του προγράμματος είναι να αποτελέσει το πρώτο ευρωπαϊκά ανοικτό οικοσύστημα που θα επιτρέπει την υλοποίηση ευρείας γκάμας ψηφιακών λύσεων για την υποστήριξη και την επέκταση της υγιούς και ανεξάρτητης διαβίωσης για ηλικιωμένα άτομα που αντιμετωπίζουν μόνιμα ή προσωρινά μειωμένη λειτουργικότητα. Συγκεκριμένα, το SHAPES στοχεύει στην ανάπτυξη μιας διαλειτουργικής πλατφόρμας που θα ενσωματώνει έξυπνες ψηφιακές λύσεις για τη συλλογή και ανάλυση των πληροφοριών που σχετίζονται με την υγεία των ατόμων μεγαλύτερης ηλικίας, του περιβάλλοντος και του τρόπου ζωής τους, τον εντοπισμό των αναγκών τους, ώστε να παρέχουν εξατομικευμένες λύσεις που θα υποστηρίζουν τις ανάγκες τους.
Το webFitForAll αποτελεί μια αποτελεσματική πλατφόρμα ασκήσεων ειδικά σχεδιασμένων για ηλικιωμένους και ευπαθείς ομάδες από την ερευνητική ομάδα του Εργαστηρίου Ιατρικής Φυσικής, της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης. Το πρόγραμμα βοηθά στη σωματική εξάσκηση και τη διατήρηση της φυσικής κατάστασης των επωφελουμένων μέσω της χρήσης μιας καινοτόμου, χαμηλού κόστους, τεχνολογικής πλατφόρμας, της συσκευής ανίχνευσης κίνησης.
Συγκεκριμένα, περιλαμβάνει πρωτόκολλα ασκήσεων που αποδεδειγμένα ενδυναμώνουν τους μυς και ενισχύουν την αερόβια ικανότητα, την ευλυγισία και την ισορροπία.
Επίσης, η προσαρμογή επίπεδου δυσκολίας σύμφωνα με την επίδοση του ασκούμενου, έχει ως σκοπό την επίτευξη της βέλτιστης εξάσκησης των λειτουργιών. Το λογισμικό webFitForAll απευθύνεται σε ηλικιωμένους, καθώς και άτομα άλλων ευπαθών ομάδων στοχεύοντας σε μια ποιοτική και πιο ανεξάρτητη διαβίωση.
Η προτεινόμενη διάρκεια για το πρόγραμμα της σωματικής εξάσκησης ορίζεται στις 3-5 φορές την εβδομάδα.
Για την αξιοποίηση του προγράμματος είναι απαραίτητα ένας ηλεκτρονικός υπολογιστής¹ και η συσκευή ανίχνευσης κίνησης. Επιπλέον, χρειάζονται κάποια βασικά όργανα γυμναστικής, όπως αλτηράκια 1 κιλού ή 2 κιλών και ένα μίνι ποδήλατο, καθώς επίσης ένα πιεσόμετρο για τη μέτρηση της πιέσης και των παλμών κατά τη διάρκεια της σωματικής άσκησης.
Οι άδειες χρήσης για το πρόγραμμα σωματικη ενδυνάμωσης webFitForAll προσφέρονται για αξιοποίηση διάρκειας 2, 6 και 12 μηνών, με κόστος από 60€.
¹ Τεχνικές προδιαγραφές
Το BrainHQ αποτελεί ένα διαδικτυακό διαδραστικό περιβάλλον που περιλαμβάνει ασκήσεις νοητικής εξάσκησης με εκατοντάδες επίπεδα. Οι ασκήσεις εστιάζουν στην προσοχή, τη μνήμη, την ταχύτητα επεξεργασίας του εγκεφάλου, τις ανθρώπινες δεξιότητες, την πλοήγηση και την ευφυΐα κι έχουν αποδειχτεί ιδιαίτερα αποτελεσματικές στους ασθενείς με άνοια ή με κάποια άλλη εγκεφαλική διαταραχή, αλλά και σε υγιή άτομα.
Παρέχοντας εξατομικευμένη εξάσκηση, όπου κάθε άσκηση προσαρμόζεται αυτόματα στο επίπεδο των ικανοτήτων του ασκούμενου, το BrainHQ αποδεδειγμένα επιταχύνει και οξύνει την οπτική αλλά και την ακουστική επεξεργασία, βελτιώνει τη σκέψη, τη συγκέντρωση, την παρατηρητικότητα, αλλά και τη μνήμη.
Η προτεινόμενη διάρκεια για το πρόγραμμα της νοητικής εξάσκησης ορίζεται στις 3-4 φορές εβδομαδιαίως.
Το BrainHQ απευθύνεται σε ηλικιωμένους, καθώς και άτομα άλλων ευπαθών ομάδων στοχεύοντας σε μια ποιοτική και πιο ανεξάρτητη διαβίωση.

For the first time, LLM Care service is expanding to Cyprus, in collaboration with the “Archangel Michael Nursing Home” based in Nicosia, Cyprus.
Today, LLM Care partners network has more than 35 cooperating entities and approximately 3.200 users and continues to be expanded to new entities, professionals and individuals.

Long Lasting Memories (LLM) research program (funded by the European Commission) is being tested for 3 years in elderly people with or without neurocognitive disorders (NCDs) in 5 EU Member countries. The participants ‘neuropsychological assessment show impressive qualitative results, both in the specific brain functions that are affected by ageing and in their psychological and physical state, but also in their functional ability.
Long Lasting Memories (LLM) research program is completed and its commercialization business plan is being developed.
In 2013, LLM Care service is launched as an innovative integrated ICT tool which combines state-of-the-art mental exercises with physical activity.
The first statistical results from LLM Care pilot implementation in elderly people (over 60 years), with or without neurocognitive disorders (NCDs), are published in peer-reviewed international journal (doi: 10.1080/13607863.2014.899972) and indicate significant positive results in various brain functions, such as attention, work memory, executive functions and general cognitive ability, as well as participants’ psychological state.
In 2015 “Thess- AHALL” becomes a member of the European Network of Living Labs (ENOLL), which includes 130 active members across Europe and 5 continents.
LLM Care service is awarded as “Reference Site 2 *” for Greece and Cyprus under the European Innovation Partnership for Active and Healthy Ageing(European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing- EIP on AHA), constituting an innovative ecosystem that provides integrated and effective solutions aiming at improving elderly’s daily living and health.
LLM Care service seeks to become a Reference Site within the European Innovation Partnership for Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA), which aims at delivering creative and workable solutions that improve the lives and health of elderly people and the whole community.
“Thess- AHALL” is distinguished as “effective member” of the European Network of Living Labs (ENOLL) for its full engagement and full maturity.
Into Medical Physics Laboratory, School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, “Thess- AHALL”, the first Greek Active & Healthy Ageing Living Lab, is founded. “Thess- AHALL” is engaged with the end-users and relevant community stakeholders, actively pursuing co-creation and co-design of technological solutions to improve health and social conditions and facilitate independent living.
In 2018, the scientific team launches its partnership with the National Healthy Cities Network, aiming to utilize LLM Care service by Member minicipalities in order to support and upgrade of local social care services.
The project was co-financed by the EU through the Horizon 2020 programme, and it involved 23 partners (including several pilot user partners) from 9 European countries (IT, UK, SI, RO, EL, DE, SE, ES, MK).
UNCAP (“Ubiquitous iNteroperable Care for Ageing People “) made use of solutions and technologies developed in previous research projects to develop an open, scalable and privacy-savvy ICT infrastructure designed to help ageing people live independently while maintaining and improving their lifestyle. The program was successfully completed in 2017.
The scientific team makes LLM Care service availanbe to entities, health professionals, individuals and concludes its first collaboration with the Municipality of Papagos-Holargos, where the LLM Care service is utilized by approximately 50 people.
LLM Care service is implemented in people with Autism. At the same time, LLM Care partners network is expanding to entities, healthcare professionals and individuals.
LLM Care service is being implemented for the first time in Parkinson’s patients, while its partners network is also expanding to new entities, healthcare professionals and individuals.

This is a European Union funded project under the Horizon 2020 program which is launched in 2016 and is expected to be completed in 2020. The project involves in total 11 partners from 6 European countries.
The purpose of i-PROGNOSIS is to provide technology-based solutions to Parkinson’s disease patients, as well as to raise awareness of disease and health management. Specifically, it aims to develop early and discrete detection tests for Parkinson’s disease through the interaction of users with everyday technology devices. In addition, it includes interventions designed to improve the quality of patients life during the illness, in collaboration with their physicians.
LLM Care service implementation expands to people with Down Syndrome. At the same time, Centers and Associations for People with Disabilities are joining the network of partners, whilst it is also expanding to new entities, healthcare professionals and individuals.

DS LEISURE is launched with the main objective of increasing the competences (attitudes, skills, knowledge) of persons with Down syndrome, their families, professionals working in leisure sector, formal, non-formal caregivers and volunteers, about how to improve the Quality of Life of people with Down syndrome through Inclusive Leisure.
CAPTAIN is a program launched in 2017 and is expected to be completed in 2020. It is a European Union funded project under Horizon 2020 and involves 15 partners from 9 European countries.
CAPTAIN aims to turn the homes of older adults into a gentle coach, providing smart assistant whenever and wherever it is needed, based on their activity. To do so, CAPTAIN uses micro-projects and projected augmented reality to turn all surfaces into tangible interfaces for personalized information and reminders.
DS AGEING is a European Union funded project under the ERASMUS + program that involves 7 partners from 6 European countries. It is launched in 2019 and is expected to be completed in 2021.
Main objective of the program is the development of an e-Training Platform that promote the active ageing of people with Down Syndrome.
Specifically, it aims at increasing competences (attitudes, skills, knowledge)
of people with Down Syndrome over 30 years old, professionals and families
about how to improve the Well-Ageing (according to the Active Ageing Model)
through an innovative training program.
Πρόκειται για ένα πρόγραμμα χρηματοδοτούμενο από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος ERASMUS +. Το DS AGEING ξεκίνησε το 2019 και η ολοκλήρωση του προβλέπεται το 2021. Στο συγκεκριμένο πρόγραμμα συμμετέχουν 7 εταίροι από 6 ευρωπαϊκές χώρες.
Σκοπός του προγράμματος είναι η ανάπτυξη ενός εκπαιδευτικού προγράμματος για την προώθηση της ενεργούς γήρανσης των ατόμων με σύνδρομο Down με τη χρήση των νέων τεχνολογιών.
Συγκεκριμένα στοχεύει στην ανάπτυξη των ικανοτήτων (συμπεριφορών, δεξιοτήτων, γνώσεων) ατόμων με σύνδρομο Down ηλικίας άνω των 30 ετών, καθώς και των επαγγελματιών και οικογενειών τους σχετικά με τον τρόπο βελτίωσης της περιόδου γήρανσης (σύμφωνα με το Μοντέλο Ενεργούς Γήρανσης).
Το CAPTAIN πρόκειται για ένα πρόγραμμα που ξεκίνησε το 2017 και προβλέπεται να ολοκληρωθεί το 2020. Είναι ένα χρηματοδοτούμενο πρόγραμμα από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση στο πλαίσιο του Horizon 2020 και συμμετέχουν σε αυτό 15 εταίροι από 9 ευρωπαϊκές χώρες.
Το CAPTAIN στοχεύει να μετατρέψει τα σπίτια των ηλικιωμένων ενηλίκων σε έναν καθοδηγητή μέσω ενός έξυπνου βοηθού που παρέχεται, όποτε και όπου χρειάζεται, με βάση τη δραστηριότητά τους. Σε αυτό το πλαίσιο, το CAPTAIN χρησιμοποιεί μικρο-προτζέκτορες και προβαλλόμενη επαυξημένη πραγματικότητα για να μετατρέψει όλες τις επιφάνειες του σπιτού σε απτές διεπαφές εξατομικευμένων πληροφοριών και υπενθυμίσεων.
Η επιστημονική ομάδα του LLM Care ξεκινά τη διάχυση του συστήματος σε ενδιαφερόμενους φορείς, επαγγελματίες υγείας, επωφελούμενους και συνάπτει την πρώτη της συνεργασία με το Δήμο Παπάγου- Χολαργού, όπου αξιοποιείται το Ολοκληρωμένο Σύστημα Φροντίδας Υγείας LLM Care από περίπου 50 επωφελούμενους.
Πρόκειται για ένα πρόγραμμα χρηματοδοτούμενο από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση στο πλαίσιο τους προγράμματος του Horizon 2020. Στο πρόγραμμα συμμετείχαν 23 εταίροι από 9 ευρωπαϊκές χώρες (IT, UK, SI, RO, EL, DE, SE, ES, MK).
Στόχος του UNCAP ήταν η αξιοποίηση λύσεων και τεχνολογιών για την ανάπτυξη μιας ανοικτής τεχνολογικής δομής που αποσκοπούσε στην προώθηση της ανεξάρτητης και αυτόνομης διαβίωσης των ηλικιωμένων, διατηρώντας παράλληλα και βελτιώνοντας τον τρόπο ζωής τους.
Το πρόγραμμα ολοκληρώθηκε με επιτυχία το 2017.
Το Ολοκληρωμένο Σύστημα LLM Care εφαρμόζεται σε άτομα με Αυτισμό. Παράλληλα, το δίκτυο συνεργατών του Ολοκληρωμένου Συστήματος LLM Care διευρύνεται, καθώς διαχέεται σε διάφορους φορείς τοπικής αυτοδιοίκησης, υπηρεσίες φροντίδας υγείας, επαγγελματίες υγείας, αλλά και επωφελούμενους.
Το Ολοκληρωμένο Σύστημα LLM Care εφαρμόζεται για πρώτη φορά σε ασθενείς με Πάρκινσον, ενώ το δίκτυο συνεργατών του εξαπλώνεται και σε νέους φορείς, επαγγελματίες υγείας και επωφελούμενους.

Το DS LEISURE αποτελεί ένα πρόγραμμα χρηματοδοτούμενο από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος ERASMUS +. Το πρόγραμμα ξεκίνησε το 2017 και ολοκληρώθηκε το 2019 με τη συμμετοχή 6 εταίρων από 5 ευρωπαϊκές χώρες.
Κύριος στόχος του προγράμματος ήταν η ανάπτυξη ενός καινοτόμου εκπαιδευτικού προγράμματος ψυχαγωγικών δραστηριοτήτων για τη βελτίωση της ποιότητας ζωής των ατόμων με σύνδρομο Down μέσω της αύξησης των ικανοτήτων (στάσεων, δεξιοτήτων, γνώσεων) των ίδιων, των οικογενειών τους, των επαγγελματιών του τομέα αναψυχής, των επίσημων φροντιστών και των εθελοντών. Σε αυτό το πλαίσιο, το DS Leisure παρείχε υψηλής ποιότητας εκπαιδευτικό υλικό προσαρμοσμένο στις ανάγκες μεμονωμένων ατόμων με σύνδρομο Down, περιορισμένων δεξιοτήτων ή ικανοτήτων, ώστε να αποκτήσουν ψηφιακές δεξιότητες που σχετίζονται με την αξιοποίηση των νέων τεχνολογιών (Εφαρμογές και Υποστηρικτικές Τεχνολογίες).
Το 2018 ξεκινά η συνεργασία της ομάδας του Ολοκληρωμένου Συστήματος LLM Care με το Ελληνικό Διαδημοτικό Δίκτυο Υγιών Πόλεων (ΕΔΔΥΠΠΥ) αποσκοπώντας στην αξιοποίηση του συστήματος από Δήμους-μέλη του δικτύου στο πλαίσιο της υποστήριξης και της τεχνολογικής αναβάθμισης των κατά τόπους υπηρεσιών κοινωνικής φροντίδας των Δήμων-μελών.
Η εφαρμογή του Ολοκληρωμένου Συστήματος LLM Care πραγματοποιείται σε άτομα που πάσχουν από Σχιζοφρένεια και σε γυναίκες με Καρκίνο του Μαστού. Επίσης, το δίκτυο συνεργατών επεκτείνεται σε νέους φορείς, επαγγελματίες υγείας και επωφελούμενους. (Άλμα Ζωής)
Το Ολοκληρωμένο Σύστημα LLM Care εξαπλώνεται για πρώτη φορά στην Κύπρο, συνάπτοντας συνεργασία με την Στέγη Ευγηρίας «Αρχάγγελος Μιχαήλ» που εδρεύει στη Λευκωσία.
Σήμερα, το δίκτυο συνεργατών του Ολοκληρωμένου Συστήματος LLM Care αριθμεί περισσότερους από 20 συνεργαζόμενους φορείς και περίπου 3.200 χρήστες, ενώ συνεχίζει να παρέχεται σε νέα κέντρα και υπηρεσίες φροντίδας υγείας, επαγγελματίες και επωφελούμενους.
Πρόκειται για ένα πρόγραμμα χρηματοδοτούμενο από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση στο πλαίσιο τους προγράμματος του Horizon 2020 το οποίο ξεκίνησε το 2016 και αναμένεται να ολοκληρωθεί το 2020. Στο πρόγραμμα συμμετέχουν συνολικά 11 εταίροι από 6 ευρωπαϊκές χώρες.
Σκοπός του i-PROGNOSIS είναι η παροχή λύσεων που βασίζονται στη τεχνολογία κατά της νόσου του Πάρκινσον, καθώς και η ευαισθητοποίηση σχετικά με τη νόσο και τη διαχείριση της κατάστασης υγείας. Συγκεκριμένα, στοχεύει στην ανάπτυξη πρώιμων και διακριτικών δοκιμών ανίχνευσης της νόσου του Πάρκινσον μέσω της αλληλεπίδρασης των χρηστών με καθημερινές τεχνολογικές συσκευές. Επιπλέον, περιλαμβάνει παρεμβάσεις που αποσκοπούν στη βελτίωση της ποιότητας ζωής των ασθενών κατά τη διάρκεια της νόσου, σε συνεργασία και με τους γιατρούς τους.
Christos A. Frantzidis received the Diploma degree in electrical and computer engineering, in 2006, and the M.Sc. degree in medical informatics, in 2008, both from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Thessaloniki, Greece. He received from the same university his Ph.D. degree (November 2014) in the neurophysiological evaluation of non-pharmaceutical cognitive and/or physical interventions aiming to promote healthy aging. He is also collaborating with the Greek AeroSpace Medical Aviation (GASMA) and the Laboratory of Medical Physics, School of Health Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki towards brain-network and functional connectivity analysis. He is studying the effects of both physiological and pathological aging and the detrimental effects of microgravity on sleep physiology. He was a visiting researcher in a European Space Agency (ESA) – funded bed-rest study held in the ‘envihab’ premises of the German Aerospace Agency (DLR) in Cologne, Germany. His research interest are network and sleep neuroscience, functional connectivity analysis and decision support systems. He is particularly interested on how remote, isolated and confined environments affect our sleep and how our brain adapts to those changes through neuroplasticity or compensatory mechanisms. So, he is also serving as a group member in the IAA Study Group entitled as “Sleeping Brain in Space and Analog Environments- Investigation of microgravity effect and identification of robust countermeasures”.
He is serving as Guest Associate Editor in Frontiers in Aging Neuroscience. He has already edited 29 published articles in the field of network neuroscience. He is also serving as a Review Editor in Frontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience. He has already reviewed 30 accepted articles in the fields of human, behavioral, aging and computational neuroscience. He is also serving as a reviewer in IEEE biomedical and in several Elsevier journals. He has published 15 journal articles and more than 60 conference presentations. His total number of citations is 1145 until October 2018. His h-index is 18 and his i10-index is 21 until that period. He was also the first author of the paper entitled as “What are the symbols of Alzheimer? A Permutation Entropy based symbolic analysis for the detection of early changes of the electroencephalographic complexity due to mild Alzheimer” gained the 3rd prize in the best student paper competition on the 12th IEEE Conference on BioInformatics and BioEngineering (BIBE 2012) held in Larnaca, Cyprus, 11-13 November, 2012.
Despoina Mantziari holds a University Degree in Media and Mass Communication and a MS in Journalism and New Media with specific expertise on news content verification and Fake News, both of them from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She works as a Research Associate on Research Programmes at AUTH Medical Physics Lab. She has former experience as journalist, as well as in media monitoring and public relations. She has been member of several university research groups, including the Media Informatics Lab and the Peace Journalism Lab, while she is also member of the communication and data journalism team of Open Knowledge Greece and the scientific advisory group of the Journalists’ Union of Macedonia and Thrace Daily Newspapers (ESIEMTH).
Maria Karagianni graduated from the Department of Psychology of the Aristotle University in 2008. She completed her postgraduate studies in Cognitive and Neuropsychology at the equivalent master’s in psychology department of the Aristotle University in 2013 with grade of “Excellent”. It is in the process of completing the educational training in cognitive behavioral psychotherapy (CBT) in the Greek Society Research and Behaviour. She worked voluntarily from 2010 to 2011 in the Greek Alzheimer organization conducting neuropsychological test control and participating in rehabilitation programs and research projects. As part of her Master‘s she made a practice training in G Neurology department of the Papanikolaou Hospital at Thessaloniki. Part of the training was to conduct neuropsychological tests and participation in research protocols on EEG and TMS. At the same time participated in standardization of the Greek version of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS). Also from 2010 she participates in the Medical Physics Laboratory of AUTH in research programs which were about mild cognitive impairment, depression and education in the elderly. Finally, she is a scientific associate of the Laboratory of Clinical Neurophysiology at the University Hospital AXEPA.
Efstathios A. Sidiropoulos holds a University Degree in Media and Communication and a MSc in Information Systems at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His past experience was as a project assistant in the Research Programmes of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2009-2014). Since 2009, he has scientifically and managerially supported over 5 European projects, in FP7-ICT, eContentPlus and CIP-PSP for the provision of new, innovative services and products. His experience includes Business Exploitation planning, Products marketing and support for fund raising. Cloud computing, Knowledge Management systems, Computer Supported Collaborative Work in Businesses are some of the areas that he is interested in.
Sotiria Gilou has graduated from School of Mathematics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in 2012 and has obtained her master’s degree in Statistics and Modeling from aforementioned university in 2015. She is an active member of Hellenic Mathematical Society of Centrals’ Macedonia annex and member of organizational committee in each conference which is carried out every year. Since November 2018, she is officially a PhD candidate in the Medical Physics Laboratory of the Medical School at AUTH (http://medphys.med.auth.gr/) under the supervision of Assistant Professor Emmanouil Papanastasiou. The subject of her PhD thesis is “Comparative study of electrical impedance spectroscopy models against verified dermatological diagnostic data”. Moreover, she is also a Reseach Assistant in the same Laboratory, where she is working in various research projects like LLM Care with emphasis on children with down syndrome.
Antonis Billis is the manager of the Thessaloniki Active & Healthy Ageing Living Lab ecosystem. He received his diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2007 and MSc in Medical Informatics in 2011, both from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He also holds a Ptychio in Business Administration and Management from the University of Macedonia, Greece. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in gerontechnology and works with the Laboratory of Medical Physics, Medical School, AUTH. His main research interests lie in the areas of medical decision support systems, AAL technologies, exergaming and user-centered UI design. He has authored/co-authored numerous papers in conferences and peer-reviewed journals. He has also participated in two European research projects, namely ICT Policy Support Programme (ICT PSP) Long Lasting Memories (LLM) and FP7-ICT-2011-7 Unobtrusive Smart Environments For Independent Living (USEFIL) and a national project, called Semantic processing of 3-D IVUS, part of the operational programme, “Competitiveness 2000-2006”. He is currently involved in the coordinating teams of CAPTAIN (Coach Assistant via Projected and Tangible Interface, http://www.captain-eu.org/) and i-Prognosis (Intelligent Parkinson early detection guiding novel supportive interventions, http://www.i-prognosis.eu/) H2020 projects. Antonis Billis also holds a scholarship from the Fanourakis Foundation. Finally he has been a member of the technical chamber of Greece since November of 2007.
Charis Styliadis is an electronic engineer and postdoctoral researcher at the Medical Physics Laboratory of the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). He completed his BEng in Electronic Engineering with Medical Electronics at the University of Kent, UK, his MSc in Telecommunications and Computer Network Engineering at South Bank University, UK, and his PhD in Medical Informatics at AUTH, Greece. He has ten years of experience in magnetoencephalography (MEG) and electroencephalography (EEG), and a solid background in neuroscience, neurophysiology, and biomedical engineering. He has received superb training in MEG technology at the laboratory for Human Brain Dynamics, RIKEN, BSI, in Japan. Throughout his doctoral training, he studied using MEG and EEG the emotional processing in cognitively healthy and pathological (mild cognitive impairment) aging as well as in the young population. He has been actively involved in the collection, preprocessing and analysis of neurophysiological data of cognitively healthy and cognitively declined populations across the entire lifespan. His research interests focus on emotional processing and emotional wellbeing, cognitive aging, developmental and degenerative disorders, and training-induced plasticity. He has a demonstrated record of accomplished and productive research projects in affective and cognitive neuroscience, funded by the European Union and the General Secretariat for Research & Technology, leading to 19 peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals, 2 book chapters and more than 30 contributions in international conferences with posters and oral presentations, while a figure of his work has been selected as the cover for a high impact scientific journal.
Ioanna Dratsiou received her Bachelor degree from School of Primary Education and her Master degree, Master of Science in Learning Technologies, both from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Thessaloniki, Greece. She currently works as Research Associate in the Lab of Medical Physics, Medical School of AUTH where she is working in funded research and exploitation projects like LLM Care (llmcare.gr), DS Leisure (dsleisure.eu) and DS Ageing (dsageing.eu). Her research interests include the use of Assistive Technologies for people with Down Syndrome and other intellectual disabilities, as well as applications of Medical Informatics with emphasis on elderly healthcare. Additionaly, she coordinates the design and development of ISO certificates regarding the conduction of educations in the Lab of Medical Physics. She has contributions in interdisciplinary conferences either as presenter or having poster presentations, while she is involved in writing scientific papers. Her future ambitions include the continuation of research and a doctoral dissertation.
Evangelia D. Romanopoulou received the Diploma degree in Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics from the University of Central Greece (UCG), Greece in 2009, and the M.Sc. degree in Medical Informatics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Greece in 2013. She studied Marketing in American College of Thessaloniki, Greece, with a competitive scholarship for MBA studies by the same college. She is also a Research Assistant in the Lab of Medical Physics, Medical School of AUTH where she is working in various funded research and exploitation projects like DISCOVER (www.discover4carers.eu), LLM Care (www.llmcare.gr) and UNCAP (an H2020 project). Her research interests include affective and assistive technologies, biomedical technology and medical informatics with emphasis on elderly healthcare.
Dr EvdokimosKonstantinidis is the leader of the Assistive Technologies and Silver Science Research Group in the Lab of Medical Physics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (http://medphys.med.auth.gr/group/asoss). He received the Diploma in electronic engineering from the Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, in 2004, the M.Sc. degree in medical informatics in 2008 from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and the Ph.D. degree in the Laboratory of Medical Physics of Medicine, School of Health Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 2015. His research interests lie predominately in the area of medical informatics, particularly within assistive technologies (silverscience, silvergaming, mobile health). Recent research interests focus on intervention for elderly in the field of exergaming and IoT technologies as well as artificial intelligence in serious games for elderly people. He is also actively researching intervention for elderly in the field of exergaming, living labs and datasets sharing mechanisms. He supported the establishment of the Active and Healthy Ageing Living Lab in Thessaloniki (ThessAHALL; http://www.aha-livinglabs.com/) which in 2016 became an adherent member of the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL). He has authored more than 30 publications in various international peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He is currently deputy technical manager of another H2020 EU project, namely the SmokeFreeBrain project and he also works in the UNCAP project (H2020).
Dr. Evangelos Paraskevopoulos completed his bachelor and master studies in the psychology department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.). At the same time he studied music theory and received a music diploma in Harmony, Counterpoint and Fugue. He then moved in Muenster, Germany to perform his PhD in cognitive neurosciences and Magnetoencephalography in the Institute for Biomagnetism and Biosignalanalysis with Prof. Dr. Christo Pantev as supervisor. He completed his PhD in 2013 receiving a Summa Cum Laude graduate. In 2011 he was awarded a research fellowship from EU, and the ministry of education and lifelong learning, in Greece (Heraclitus-II) for a research program focusing in the Interaction of the Music Perception System and Language. He has also received an award in the young neuroscientist poster competition “NeuroVisionen 8“ by the NeuroNRW – Ministry of Innovation, Science and Research of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany (2012) and a post-doctoral fellowship (Excellence) from A.U.TH. (2014). His research interests focus on cortical plasticity, music perception (disorders) and multisensory integration. He has 23 published papers in international refereed journals (total impact factor 90.93 ), two book chapters, one in the scientific annals of the Department of Psychology, of A.U.Th. and more than 40 contributions in international conferences with posters and talks. He currently holds a post-doc research associate position in the Laboratory of Medical Physics in (AUTH) as a group leader of the Neurosciences of Cognition and Affection group of the laboratory, he is the Principal INvestigator of the project MusicPlast, funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (ELIDEK) and a part-time lecturer position at the City College, an International faculty of the University of Sheffield.
Maria Metaxa received the Diploma degree in Primary Education of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 2016, and the M.Sc. degree in Education Sciences- Learning Technologies by the same university. She has also received training in the education of individuals with special needs by University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki. She now is a Research Associate in the Lab of Medical Physics Laboratory, Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (medphys.med.auth.gr). She is working in various research projects like LLM Care (www.llmcare.gr), DS Leisure (www.dsleisure.eu) and DS Ageing. Her research interests include the exploitation of technology tools and assistive technologies with emphasis on healthcare, cognitive empowerment and social inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities.
Theodore Savvidis has graduated from the Faculty of Informatics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2011 and has obtained his master’s degree in Web Science from the aforementioned university in 2014.
In 2012 he was awarded a scholarship for his master’s studies from the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). He is counting more than 12 years of experience in computer programming, especially in the area of applications and websites development, as well as numerous collaborations in his curriculum.
His most important collaboration is the one with the Laboratory of Medical Physics where he is working on the current research projects that are being carried out by the laboratory. His ambitions for the future include the continuation of research and a doctoral dissertation.
Foteini Dolianiti holds a degree in Education and a master’s degree in Education Sciences – Learning Technologies. Since 2018, she is a research associate at the Lab of Medical Physics, Dept. of Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She currently works in the EU and EPAnEK co-funded project “Combining IoT and Robotic Technologies in Educational settings towards Interactive Application Development” (TekTrain). She has received a specialization in Special Education from the University of Thessaly, she is a Certified LLM Care Trainer, and she participates in research projects under the Lab of Medical Physics for improving the quality of life of people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups through assistive technologies, such as the Erasmus+ projects DS Leisure (www.dsleisure.eu) and DS Ageing (www.dsageing.eu). Her research interests include ICT tools and assistive technologies, online learning environments and learning analytics, affective computing and sentiment analysis applied on teaching-learning contexts as well as educational robotics.
Vasiliki I. Zilidou received the Diploma degree from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Thessaloniki, Greece, and M.Sc. degree in Medical Informatics from the same University. Now, she is a PhD Candidate in the field of Physical Education and Sports Science. She is currently a Research Assistant in the Lab of Medical Physics, Medical School of AUTH, where she is working in the projects DISCOVER (www.discover4carers.eu), LLM Care (www.llmcare.gr) ) and UNCAP (www.uncap.eu) as well as a project organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science of AUTH entitled “Augmentation of the Support of Patients suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease and their caregivers”, ASPAD (http://aspad.csd.auth.gr) and in Gamified and Online Activities for Learning to Support Dual Careers of Athletes / GOAL. Her current research interests include biomedical technology and informatics aspects of elderly healthcare and in particular with respect to computerized physical training and dancing.
H Βασιλική (Βίκυ) Ζηλίδου είναι πτυχιούχος του Τμήματος Επιστήμης Φυσικής Αγωγής και Αθλητισμού (Τ.Ε.Φ.Α.Α.) του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης (ΑΠΘ) και κάτοχος του Μεταπτυχιακού Διπλώματος Εξειδίκευσης στην Ιατρική Πληροφορική από το ίδιο Πανεπιστήμιο. Σήμερα είναι υποψήφια Διδάκτωρ στον τομέα της Επιστήμης Φυσικής Αγωγής και Αθλητισμού και παράλληλα συμμετέχει ενεργά στη διδασκαλία προπτυχιακού μαθήματος της Σχολής. Από το 2010 εργάζεται ως επιστημονικός συνεργάτης στο Εργαστήριο Ιατρικής Φυσικής της Σχολής Επιστημών Υγείας του ΑΠΘ σε σειρά ερευνητικών έργων όπως και σε άλλα της Σχολής Επιστήμης Φυσικής Αγωγής και Αθλητισμού που στοχεύουν στη βελτίωση της υγείας και της ποιότητας ζωής υγιών ατόμων αλλά και ατόμων που ανήκουν σε ευπαθείς ομάδες. Τα τρέχοντα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα περιλαμβάνουν τη Βιοϊατρική τεχνολογία και τις πτυχές πληροφορικής στην περίθαλψη υγείας των ηλικιωμένων ατόμων αλλά και των ατόμων που ανήκουν σε ευπαθείς ομάδες και ειδικότερα όσον αφορά στην εκπαίδευση σωματικής άσκησης και παραδοσιακού χορού μέσω υπολογιστή. Έχει δημοσιεύσει άρθρα σε έγκριτα ξενόγλωσσα και ελληνικά επιστημονικά περιοδικά και σε πρακτικά διεθνών και ελληνικών συνεδρίων, επίσης συμμετείχε σε διεθνή επιστημονικά συνέδρια με 4 βραβεία καλύτερης προφορικής ανακοίνωσης. Επίσης, συμμετείχε σε συγγραφή 2 κεφαλαίων σε ξενόγλωσσο βιβλίο.
Η Φωτεινή Δολιανίτη είναι κάτοχος πτυχίου Παιδαγωγικής Σχολής και Μεταπτυχιακού Διπλώματος Ειδίκευσης στις Επιστήμες της Αγωγής – Τεχνολογίες Μάθησης. Από το 2018 είναι επιστημονική συνεργάτης του Εργαστηρίου Ιατρικής Φυσικής, του Τμήματος Ιατρικής, ΑΠΘ. Εργάζεται στο ερευνητικό έργο «Τεχνολογίες Διαδικτύου των Πραγμάτων και Ρομποτικής στην Εκπαίδευση για την Ανάπτυξη Διαδραστικών Εφαρμογών» (TekTrain) στο πλαίσιο της Δράσης «ΕΡΕΥΝΩ-ΔΗΜΙΟYΡΓΩ-ΚΑΙΝΟΤΟΜΩ» του ΕΠΑνΕΚ. Έχει λάβει εξειδίκευση στην Ειδική Αγωγή και Εκπαίδευση από το Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλίας, είναι Πιστοποιημένη Εκπαιδευτής LLM Care και συμμετέχει σε ερευνητικά έργα του Εργαστηρίου Ιατρικής Φυσικής για τη βελτίωση της ποιότητας ζωής ατόμων με αναπηρία και άλλων ευπαθών ομάδων μέσω υποστηρικτικών τεχνολογιών, όπως τα έργα Erasmus+ DS Leisure (www.dsleisure.eu) και DS Ageing (https://www.dsageing.eu/). Στα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα περιλαμβάνονται η αξιοποίηση εργαλείων ΤΠΕ και τεχνολογιών υποστήριξης και εκπαίδευσης ευπαθών πληθυσμιακών ομάδων, τα διαδικτυακά μαθησιακά περιβάλλοντα και η μαθησιακή αναλυτική, οι εφαρμογές της συναισθηματικής υπολογιστικής και της ανάλυσης συναισθήματος (sentiment analysis) σε διδακτικά-
μαθησιακά πλαίσια, καθώς και η εκπαιδευτική ρομποτική.
Ο Σαββίδης Θεόδωρος αποφοίτησε από το τμήμα Πληροφορικής του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης το 2011 και έλαβε το μεταπτυχιακό δίπλωμα στην Επιστήμη του Διαδικτύου επίσης του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστήμιου Θεσσαλονίκης το 2014. Το 2012 έλαβε υποτροφία για τις μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές του από το Ίδρυμα Κρατικών Υποτροφιών. Με πάνω από 10 χρόνια εμπειρίας στον προγραμματισμό εφαρμογών και ιστοσελίδων και αρκετές συνεργασίες στο βιογραφικό του. Η μεγαλύτερη συνεργασία αυτή τη στιγμή είναι με το Εργαστήριο Φυσικής Ιατρικής όπου εργάζεται πάνω στα τρέχοντα ερευνητικά προγράμματα του εργαστηριού. Στα μελλοντικά του σχέδια είναι η συνέχιση της έρευνας καθώς και μια διδακτορική διατριβή. Τα κυριότερα ερευνητικά έργα στα οποία έχει εργαστεί είναι: i-Prognosis (Horizon 2020), UNCAP (Horizon 2020), LLMCare, IMOP.
Η Μαρία Μεταξά απέκτησε το 2016 το πτυχίο της από το Παιδαγωγικό Τμήμα Δημοτικής Εκπαίδευσης του Αριστοτέλειου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης (Α.Π.Θ.) και ολοκλήρωσε το 2019 το Μεταπτυχιακό Πρόγραμμα Σπουδών στις Επιστήμες της Αγωγής- Τεχνολογίες Μάθησης από το ίδιο πανεπιστήμιο. Επίσης, την ίδια χρονιά έλαβε πιστοποίηση στην εκπαίδευση ατόμων με ειδικές ανάγκες από το Πανεπιστήμιο Μακεδονίας στη Θεσσαλονίκη (ΠΑ.ΜΑΚ.). Πλέον, εργάζεται ως Επιστημονική Συνεργάτιδα στο Εργαστήριο Ιατρικής Φυσικής της Σχολής Επιστημών Υγείας του Α.Π.Θ. (medphys.med.auth.gr). Έχει λάβει μέρος σε διάφορα ερευνητικά έργα, όπως το LLM Care (www.llmcare.gr), DS Leisure (www.dsleisure.eu) και DS Ageing (www.dsageing.eu). Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα περιλαμβάνουν την αξιοποίηση των νέων τεχνολογιών στην εκπαίδευση και τις υποστηρικτικές τεχνολογίες με έμφαση στη φροντίδα υγείας των ηλικιωμένων, καθώς και τη σωματική, νοητική και κοινωνική ενδυνάμωση των ατόμων με νοητική αναπηρία.
Ο Δρ. Παρασκευόπουλος Ευάγγελος ολοκλήρωσε τις βασικές και μεταπτυχιακές του σπουδές στο τμήμα Ψυχολογίας του Αριστοτέλειου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης. Παράλληλα, σπούδασε ανώτερα θεωρητικά της μουσικής λαμβάνοντας τα πτυχία αρμονίας, αντίστιξης και φούγκας. Ακολούθως ολοκλήρωσε με διάκριση το διδακτορικό του στο Ινστιτούτο Βιομαγνητικής και Ανάλυσης Βιοσημάτων του Muenster της Γερμανίας με ειδίκευση στις γνωστικές νευροεπιστήμες και την μαγνητοεγκεφαλογραφία και επιβλέποντα τον καθηγητή Dr Christo Pantev. To 2011 έλαβε βραβείο για καλύτερη αναρτημένη εργασία στο συνέδριο “NeuroVisionen 8“της επιστημονικής εταιρίας NeuroNRW και μια μεταδιδακτορική υποτροφία από το ΑΠΘ (αριστεία). Επίσης, το 2017 έλαβε μεταδιδακτορική υποτροφία από το Ίδρυμα Κρατικών Υποτροφιών και το 2018 ένα ερευνητικό έργο από το ΕΛΙΔΕΚ. Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα επικεντρώνονται στην φλοιϊκή πλαστικότητα, στην αντίληψη της μουσικής και τις διαταραχές της, καθώς και στην πολυαισθητηριακή ενοποίηση. Έχε δημοσιεύσει 25 άρθρα σε διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά με κριτές, ένα στην επετηρίδα του τμήματος ψυχολογίας του Α.Π.Θ., 3 κεφάλαια σε βιβλία και έχει παραπάνω από 40 συμμετοχές σε διεθνή συνέδρια.
Ο Δρ Ευδόκιμος Κωνσταντινίδης είναι ο επικεφαλής της ερευνητικής ομάδας Assistive Technologies and Silver Science του εργαστηρίου Ιατρικής Φυσικής, Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης ( http://medphys.med.auth.gr/group/asoss ). Έλαβε το διδακτορικό τίτλο στο εργαστήριο Ιατρικής Φυσικής, Σχολή Επιστημών Υγείας, του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης, Ελλάδα. Τα τρέχοντα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα εστιάζονται κατά κύριο λόγο στον τομέα της Ιατρικής Πληροφορικής και ιδιαίτερα όσον αφορά τις υποστηρικτικές τεχνολογίες ατόμων με ειδικές ανάγκες και ηλικιωμένων technologies (silverscience, silvergaming, mobile health). Τα πρόσφατα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα επικεντρώνονται στην παρέμβαση για τους ηλικιωμένους και των ασθενών με Παρκινσον στον τομέα των παιχνιδιών φυσικής άσκησης, όπου στο iPrognosis H2020 συμμετείχε στην ομάδα σχεδίασης κατάλληλων παιχνιδιών. Έχει συγγράψει πάνω από 50 δημοσιεύσεις σε διάφορα διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά και συνέδρια ήταν βασικός ομιλητής (keynote speaker) στο συνέδριο IEEE CBMS 2017. Αυτή τη στιγμή είναι τεχνικός διευθυντής του Ευρωπαικού έργου Η2020 CAPTAIN και υπεύθυνος του προϊόντος ανίχνευσης και ανάλυσης κινήσεων της Γαλλικής εταιρεία Nively.
Η Ευαγγελία Δ. Ρωμανοπούλου απέκτησε το 2009 το πτυχίο της με αντικείμενο Πληροφορική με Εφαρμογές στη Βιοϊατρική από το Πανεπιστήμιο Στερεάς Ελλάδας (Πα.Στ.Ελ) και το 2013 ολοκλήρωσε το Μεταπτυχιακό Πρόγραμμα Ειδίκευσης με τίτλο Ιατρική Πληροφορική στο Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης (ΑΠΘ). Σπούδασε Marketing στο Αμερικάνικο Κολλέγιο Θεσσαλονίκης με υποτροφία για σπουδές ΜΒΑ από το ίδιο κολλέγιο. Επιπλέον, είναι Υποψήφια Διδάκτωρ και Επιστημονική Συνεργάτιδα στο Εργαστήριο Ιατρικής Φυσικής του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης, όπου εργάζεται σε ποικίλα χρηματοδοτούμενα προγράμματα έρευνας και εκμετάλλευσης, όπως το LLM Care ( www.llmcare.gr ), το DS Leisure ( www.dsleisure.eu ), το DS Ageing ( www.dsageing.eu ), το UNCAP ( www.uncap.eu ) και το DISCOVER ( www.discover4carers.eu ). Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα περιλαμβάνουν συναισθηματικές και βοηθητικές τεχνολογίες, βιοϊατρική τεχνολογία και ιατρική πληροφορική με έμφαση στη χρήση νέων τεχνολογιών (όπως συστήματα σωματικής και νοητικής ενδυνάμωσης) για τη βελτίωση, τόσο της φροντίδα ασθενών και ηλικιωμένων, όσο και άλλων ευπαθών/ευάλωτων ομάδων πληθυσμού, όπως τα άτομα με Σύνδρομο Down ή άλλες νοητικές διαταραχές.
Η Ιωάννα Δράτσιου σπούδασε στο Παιδαγωγικό Τμήμα Δημοτικής Εκπαίδευσης και στη συνέχεια πραγματοποίησε τις μεταπτυχιακές της σπουδές με αντικείμενο ‘’Επιστήμες της Αγωγής – Τεχνολογίες της Μάθησης’’, στο Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης. Σήμερα εργάζεται ως Επιστημονική Συνεργάτιδα στο Εργαστήριο Ιατρικής Φυσικής, της Σχολής Επιστημών Υγείας του Α.Π.Θ., όπου συγκεκριμένα απασχολείται σε ποικίλα ερευνητικά έργα όπως: LLM Care (www.llmcare.gr), DS LEISURE (www.dsleisure.eu), DS AGEING (www.dsageing.eu). Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα εστιάζουν στην αξιοποίηση υποστηρικτικών τεχνολογιών για τη βελτίωση της ποιότητας ζωής ατόμων με Σύνδρομο Down και άλλες αναπηρίες, καθώς και σε εφαρμογές Ιατρικής Πληροφορικής με έμφαση στη Φροντίδα Υγείας των ηλικιωμένων. Επιπρόσθετα, είναι υπεύθυνη για το σχεδιασμό και την ανάπτυξη πιστοποιήσεων ISO σχετικά με τις εκπαιδεύσεις που πραγματοποιούνται στο Εργαστήριο Ιατρικής Φυσικής. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε διάφορα διεπιστημονικά συνέδρια τόσο για την παρακολούθηση όσο και για την παρουσίαση ερευνητικών εργασιών, ενώ παράλληλα ασχολείται με τη συγγραφή επιστημονικών άρθων.
O Χάρης Στυλιάδης είναι ηλεκτρονικός μηχανικός και μεταδιδακτορικός ερευνητής στο Εργαστήριο Ιατρικής Φυσικής της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Αριστοτέλειου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης (ΑΠΘ). Ολοκλήρωσε τις σπουδές του στην Ηλεκτρονική Μηχανική με Ιατρική Ηλεκτρονική στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Κέντ του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου, απέκτησε το μεταπτυχιακό του στις Τηλεπικοινωνίες και Μηχανική Δικτύων Ηλεκτρονικών Υπολογιστών στο Πανεπιστήμιο Σάουθ Μπανκ του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου, και το διδακτορικό του στην Ιατρική Πληροφορική στο ΑΠΘ. Έχει λάβει εκτεταμένη εκπαίδευση στην τεχνική της μαγνητοεγκεφαλογραφίας στο εργαστήριο Ανθρώπινων Εγκεφαλικών Δυναμικών του ινστιτούτου RIKEN, BSI στην Ιαπωνία. Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα επικεντρώνονται στη συναισθηματική επεξεργασία, τη γνωστική γήρανση, τις αναπτυξιακές και εκφυλιστικές διαταραχές, και τη πλαστικότητα του εγκεφάλου που προκαλείται από εκπαίδευση. O Δρ. Στυλιάδης έχει επιδείξει επιτυχημένο και παραγωγικό ερευνητικό έργο στη συναισθηματική και γνωστική νευροεπιστήμη χρηματοδοτούμενο από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση και τη Γενική Γραμματεία Έρευνας και Τεχνολογίας, οδηγώντας σε 20 άρθρα σε διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά με κριτές, 2 κεφάλαια σε βιβλία, και πάνω από 30 συνεισφορές σε διεθνή συνέδρια.

Πτυχιούχος τμήματος Ψυχολογίας ΑΠΘ. Διεκπονεί το μεταπτυχιακό της πάνωστην «Ειδική Αγωγή και Εκπαίδευση» στο διατμηματικό μεταπτυχιακόπρόγραμμα των πανεπιστήμιων Λευκωσίας και Πατρών. Έχει λάβει πιστοποίηση παρακολούθησης σεμιναρίων πάνω στην Εκπαίδευση Εκπαιδευτών Ενηλίκων και τη Συμβουλευτική. Στο παρελθόν είχε εργαστεί στις ΜΚΟ ΑΡΣΙΣ και «Λάμψη». Παράλληλα, από το 2018 είναι φοιτήτρια στην κατεύθυνση της Επικοινωνιολογίας στο τμήμα Δημοσιογραφίας και ΜΜΕ του ΑΠΘ. Σήμερα εργάζεται ως Επιστημονική Συνεργάτης στο Εργαστήριο Ιατρικής Φυσικής, της Σχολής Επιστημών Υγείας του Α.Π.Θ. και έχει εμπλακεί σε διάφορα project του εργαστηρίου όπως το LLM Care,το RTOC, το SISCODE, το AD Autonomy και στις ψυχομετρικές αξιολογήσεις που εκτελούνται στα πλαίσια προγραμμάτων. Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέρονται εστιάζονται στον τομέα της ψυχικής υγείας και πρόληψης των διάφορων συνεργαζόμενων κοινωνικών ομάδων. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε διάφορα διεπιστημονικά συνέδρια και διημερίδες.
Ο Αντώνης Μπίλλης έλαβε το δίπλωμα του Ηλεκτρολόγου Μηχανικού και Μηχανικού Η/Υ το 2007 και το Διατμηματικό Μεταπτυχιακό Δίπλωμα Εξιδείκευσης στην Ιατρική Πληροφορική το 2011, από το Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης. Είναι κάτοχος Πτυχίου στην Οργάνωση και Διοίκηση Επιχειρήσεων του Πανεπιστημίου Μακεδονίας. Η τρέχουσα απασχόληση του αφορά την εκπόνηση διδακτορικής διατριβής στον τομέα της βιοϊατρικής τεχνολογίας με εφαρμογή στην γηριατρική, στο Εργαστήριο Ιατρικής Φυσικής, ΑΠΘ. Τα κύρια ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα αφορούν κλινικά συστήματα στήριξης απόφασης, υποστηρικτικές τεχνολογίες στην Τρίτη Ηλικία, ασθενοκεντρικές εφαρμογές στην κινητή υγεία. Έχει συγγράψει ένα σημαντικό αριθμό εργασιών (>40), οι οποίες έχουν δημοσιευθεί σε διεθνή συνέδρια και σε περιοδικά με κριτές. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε 7 ευρωπαϊκά καθώς και σε 4 εθνικά έργα. Έχει λάβει 2 υποτροφίες από το Ίδρυμα Λοχαγού Φανουράκη και από την δράση «Υποστήριξη Eρευνητών με Έμφαση στους Νέους Ερευνητές ΕΔΒΜ34» του Ε.Π. «Ανάπτυξη Ανθρώπινου Δυναμικού, Εκπαίδευση και Δια Βίου Μάθηση».
Η Σωτηρία Γυλού σπούδασε στο Τμήμα Μαθηματικών της Σχολής Θετικών Επιστημών του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης και στη συνέχεια απέκτησε μεταπτυχιακό δίπλωμα στη «Στατιστική Μοντελοποίηση» στο ίδιο τμήμα το 2015. Από το Νοέμβριο του 2018, είναι επίσημα υποψήφια Διδάκτορας της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Α.Π.Θ. (http://medphys.med.auth.gr/) με αντικείμενο: “Συγκριτική μελέτη μοντέλων φασματοσκοπίας ηλεκτρικής αντίστασης έναντι επαληθευμένων δερματολογικών διαγνωστικών δεδομένων”. Επιπλέον, είναι βοηθός έρευνας στο Εργαστήριο Ιατρικής Φυσικής, της Σχολής Επιστημών Υγείας του Α.Π.Θ., όπου εργάζεται σε διάφορα ερευνητικά προγράμματα όπως η φροντίδα LLM με έμφαση στα παιδιά με σύνδρομο Down. Στα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα έγκεινται και η στατιστική ανάλυση νευροφυσιολογικών σημάτων προερχόμενων από μελέτη ύπνου καθώς και η νευροφυσιολογική αξιολόγηση ευάλωτων πληθυσμών. Τέλος, έχει συμμετάσχει σε διάφορα διεπιστημονικά συνέδρια τόσο για την παρακολούθηση όσο και για την παρουσίαση ερευνητικών εργασιών, ενώ παράλληλα ασχολείται με τη συγγραφή επιστημονικών άρθρων.
